Martin Young addresses one of the most common objections to Christianity: why would God allow such suffering in the world? There are no quick or easy answers, but Psalm 22 reminds us that this is not a new question. The psalmist counters the question by arguing that you can’t deal with the suffering of life without faith. The psalm is a prayer of David, a prayer for all God’s people, as well as the prayer of Christ, bringing unspeakable comfort to many Christians over the years.
