In times of persecution and hardship, we may be tempted to look up to the heavens and wonder if there is anyone really there. In times of ease, our faith may grow lukewarm and lazy. In times when the broken-ness of our world is so obvious, we can only weep.
But Revelation shows us a glimpse of the throne room of heaven, so that we can see who is there: God in all his glory, the Lamb upon the throne. We do not need to weep because there is one who is worthy: one who will rescue the world, one who fulfils God’s word, one who has triumphed, one who can open the scroll. He is already victorious!
Take courage and sing the song of the redeemed!
