Word on Wednesday: Lee Gatiss on Single-minded Evangelicalism
The Youtube video above is Lee Gatiss's second talk at the Evangelion Conference of evangelicals in The Episcopal Church, in America last month.
In this lecture, Lee speaks about the double-mindedness of many evangelicals, how feel we are both "about to win", and "about to lose" -- how we are confident about the future, and pessimistic at the same time. Will we slowly take over mixed denominations because only evangelicals can grow churches? Or will we be pushed out and have to start something new from scratch?
He suggests a way forward in the midst of our uncertainty. It's quite provocative! But well worth watching one evening, especially now that Poldark has finished.
