This year’s JAEC was on the theme of “Feed My Sheep: The Angican Ministry of Word and Sacrament.”

The conference always includes meaty theological input, and this year was no different. Nigel Atkinson, who has written a very good book on Richard Hooker, treated us to the fruits of his sabbatical research into the doctrine of ordination, in Hooker and others. Is an ordination service just a prayer meeting, out of which emerges “Bible teachers”? Or is something else more serious and sobering happening too?
