Lee Gatiss talks to the new Patronage Director of Church Society, Paul Darlington, as well as the Secretary and other Directors of the Church Society Trust, our patronage board. They discuss the history of patronage, the current status of patrons, the risks and benefits associated with patronage. While every parish in the Church of England has a patron, when that patron is an evangelical patronage body, there can be real benefits to the church in helping establish long-term gospel ministry.
